John Snider – Loan Officer
John was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas and graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2000.
Upon graduation he immediately fled to our nation’s best state and has called Texas home ever since.
John’s wife of 6 years is from San Antonio and graduated from Baylor in 2002.
John worked for 3 years in institutional fixed income sales from 2000-2003 with Stephens, Inc. He then worked for Extraco Bank and Compass Bank from 2003-2006. John was the manager of the downtown Waco Compass bank office at that time, where a favorite part of the job was small business and residential lending.
In 2007, John and Jamie felt called by God to move to Beirut, Lebanon, & serve Jesus there. Jamie worked for a non-profit organization in Palestinian refugee camps and John studied and received an MBA in Finance from the American University of Beirut.
They have a 13 month old daughter who was born in Beirut in 2009. John and Jamie returned to the States in 2010, and he was excited to get back into residential lending as a loan officer at Excellent Mortgage.
When asked about what he likes to do, John replied, “I love spending time with my beautiful wife and daughter. Serving others well brings me purpose and joy. I also really like live music and cheering on the Baylor Bears.”
